The Big Number Change

New pricing structure for calls to Non Geographic numbers from 1st July 2015.
As of 1st July 2015 the cost of calling Non Geographic numbers 0800, 084, 087, 09 and 118 will change and have a dramatic effect on both consumers and companies alike.

As from 1st July 2015 all calls to 0800 numbers will be FREE including calls from all mobiles.

All 0800 calls will be free to the caller

All calls to 0800 numbers will be free to the caller from both landlines and mobiles.

We at iNet believe this will have a dramatic increase on calls to 0800 services.

At present most calls to 0800 numbers are made from landlines. We expect this to change with the majority of calls being made from mobiles.

This may also have an effect on calling patterns and when users choose to call.

We anticipate a vast increase in calls to Companies offering 0800 numbers for their potential customers to contact them.Don't miss out on this potential opportunity to attract more potential clients.

Call Charges to 084, 087, 09 and 118 services will be split into two and shown separately on the users phone bill.

  1. Connection Charge

    The connection Charge will be applied by the users Network Operator. Each Network Operator will set their own Connection Charge which will be applied to all calls made to 084, 087, 09 and 118 services.

    Mobile Connection Charges

    Vodafone 45p per minute

    EE 44p per minute

    O2 25p per minute

    Three 25p per minute

    Virgin Mobile 36p per minute

  2. Service Charge

    The Service Charge is the rate set by the Service Provider for that tariff.

    Maximum Service Charge per tariff

    084 Numbers 7p per minute including VAT

    087 Numbers 13p per minute including VAT

    09 Numbers £6 per call and £3.60 per minute including VAT

    The tariff set for each number range will be set by the Network Range Holder.

    If you have number ranges in tariffs 084, 087, 09 and 118 you will need to check with your Network Operator to determine at what rate your number range has been set. Do not presume that they have remained at their existing rate. As from the 1st July 2015 they may have changed.

Price publication obligation

Where ever the numbers are advertised or published there is an obligation by the Service Provider to publish and display the Service Charge close to the number itself and be clear and prominent.

The suggested wording is as follows:

" Calls cost Xp per minute plus your phone company‘s access charge "
