The new GDPR (General Data Protection Directive) comes in to force this on the 25th May 2018 with a heightened and needed focus on personal data replacing the older outdated 1995 Data Protection Directive. As a UK cloud provider of consumable telephony services and Contact Centre Solutions as a Service (CCSaaS) technologies, iNet has undertaken the necessary steps to fully comply with this new legislation. This much needed stricter and broader UK/EU directive covers both today’s technology and company procedures when processing all personal and privacy data, with a greater focus on the supplier taking responsibility and applying a duty of care when handling any such data. Suppliers who don’t comply by 25th May ’18 (legislation to be incorporated in to U.K law in May) will face fines if proven that the supplier has been negligent up to a maximum value of €20 million or 4% of the company’s annual turnover.
Here at iNet our customers will always come first and as such its absolutely paramount to our business that we can reassure each and every customer that we are fully compliant with all current and any new related directives/legislations.
